❌ Verification Failed¶
The hash does not match. This means either:
- The document has been modified after registration
- The QR code has been tampered with or substituted
- A printing or scanning error corrupted the QR data (try rescanning)
Document Integrity Compromised
A failed verification should be treated as a serious finding. Do not use the document as evidence until the discrepancy is investigated. Report to your supervisor immediately.
⚠️ Not Found¶
The transaction ID in the QR code could not be located in the system. Possible reasons:
- The document was created but blockchain registration failed (check Pending Registrations in the macOS app)
- The document was not created with VeriChain
- The QR code was altered or is from a different system
