Troubleshooting¶
LLIMAGER includes enhanced diagnostics and specific error messaging to help identify issues during the imaging process. Below are the most common scenarios and their resolutions.
App "Damaged" or "Can't be Opened"¶
This is a common macOS Gatekeeper security response for applications not downloaded directly from the App Store.
Solution: 1. Open Terminal on the Mac.

Type the following command and press Enter:
sudo spctl --master-disable -
Enter the Mac’s administrator password.

Launch LLIMAGER again.

(Optional) After your session, re-enable security by running
sudo spctl --master-enable.
Full Disk Access Errors¶
If LLIMAGER cannot see the internal drive or specific user folders, it likely lacks the necessary system permissions.
Solution:

Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access.

If LLIMAGER is in the list, ensure the toggle is ON.

If it is not in the list, click the + icon, navigate to your USB, and add the LLIMAGER application.

Restart LLIMAGER after making these changes.
Imaging Fails Immediately¶
This usually occurs if the destination drive is not formatted correctly or lacks sufficient space.
Solution:

Format Check: Ensure your destination SSD is formatted as exFAT (case-sensitive "llimager" partition).

Space Check: Verify that the destination has free space equal to the "Used Space + 10%" of the source.

Write Protection: Ensure the physical write-protect switch on your USB (if applicable) is in the "Off" position.
Cloud Upload Failures¶
If the image completes but the upload fails:

Network: Ensure the Mac has an active internet connection.

Libraries: Verify the
llimagerCloudServicesfolder is present in your root directory. -
Credentials: Re-check your AWS/GCP/Azure keys in the Profiles menu. Even a single missing character in a Secret Key will cause a 403 Forbidden error.

QR Code Not Scanning¶
If the LLIMAGER Companion app cannot read the QR seal on the PDF log:

Contrast: Ensure you are viewing the PDF at 100% zoom on a clear screen.

Integrity: If the PDF log was modified after creation, the seal may be invalidated. Always use the original, untampered PDF generated by the app.
